Peanut Butter cookies are one of my favorite holiday desserts. While we all have our favorites, these peanut butter cookies are a fan favorite of the entire family. This year, I decided to make my recipe a little more Christmas-like, by adding red and green M&M candies into the batter. They look like they were made for Old St. Nick, and the chocolate and peanut butter combo tastes amazing, too! Here's how I made them... I rolled the dough into 1 inch rounds and flattened a few with a fork for a "non Hershey's cookies." I baked them for 7-9 minutes at 375 degrees. I placed them on a cooling rack for several minutes, and then I added the Hershey's Kisses. Here's the full recipe:
Ingredients 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter; 1 stick butter; 1 and 1/2 cup all-purpose flour; 3/4 cup granulated sugar; 1/2 cup brown sugar; 1 egg; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1/2 tsp. baking soda; 1 tsp. baking powder; 1 cup red and green M&M candies; 1 bag Hershey Kisses Directions Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Using a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter and peanut butter. Add the remaining ingredients, expect for M&M's. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes. Fold in the M&M candies. Roll into 1 inch rounds and place on an ungreased baking sheet or one fitted with parchment paper. If desired, flatten some cookies with a fork, making a cross pattern. Bake for 7-9 minutes, or until lightly browned on the edges. Use a spatula to move to a cooling rack. Allow cookies to cool for 3 minutes. Place a Hershey's kiss into the middle of the non-flattened cookies. Makes approximately 24 cookies. |
