It's a lovely August day and the sun is shining! I decided to created this Peach Tea Smoothie recipe to cool us down on this hot afternoon. I love peach tea, and decided to do something a little outside the box with my favorite summertime tea. I blended the tea with frozen peaches, a scoop of sugar, and a handful of ice to make a frozen concoction that is so refreshing. If you like your tea on the sweeter side, feel free to add more sugar. I like the fruity flavor to come out in my tea so I go light on the sugar. But that's just my preference. So do as you please with this recipe!
Our Black Eyed Susans are in full bloom, and they match the beautiful color of this Peach Tea Smoothie recipe. It's so nice to sit on the patio and feel the breeze on my face and let my troubles slip away for an hour or so. I hope you can find some peace of mind on this gorgeous August day. Here's how I made this Peach Tea Smoothie recipe:
Ingredients: 4 cups frozen peaches; 3 cups brewed peach iced tea; 1/4 cup sugar; 1/4 cup ice
Directions: Boil the water on the stove. Place 6 tea bags into the water and allow to seep for 1/2 hour or so. Remove the tea bags. Allow the tea to cool. Place in the refrigerator to speed up cooling process. Remove the tea from the fridge. Pour tea into the bottom of a high powered blender. Add the ice and frozen peaches. Add the sugar. Blend for 3-5 minutes, or until smooth. Serves 2-4.
