The weather has been hot in Michigan lately, so it's time to cool things down with this Mudslide Milkshake! As you may know from my previous posts, I teamed up with Hyde's Harvest Coffee this month. They sent me a complimentary sample pack of their coffees from Bali, Mexico, and Peru. The pack also includes their 6 bean espresso coffee and their cocoa and vanilla Cowboy Blend, which I used in this recipe.
Have you heard of Hyde's Harvest? They offer a wide range of coffee flavors. Everything from Cinnamon Roll and French Vanilla to breakfast blends, and exotic blends from all over the world are available on their website. Right now they are offering a promotion. Use the code: whatsbaking for 10% off your order on their site. Click here to see their wide selection! After you order, come back and tell me what brand you chose and what you thought of the flavor. Tell me where and how you're enjoying your much deserved coffee break. I love to sit on my patio and gaze at my garden as I drink my Hyde's Harvest coffee. It's such a relaxing start to my day and it gets me motivated for all kids' summer activities.
When I received my sample packs from Hyde's, I couldn't wait to open it! The aroma was so intense with the range of flavors they offer. The scent of this international blend was far above and beyond any coffee flavors I've ever sampled. I immediate made myself a cup of Cowboy Blend coffee and set to work on this Mudslide Milkshake. You can make it with alcohol, or omit the alcohol if you choose. Either way, it's a tasty way to cool off for the afternoon and enjoy some of the most delicious coffee I've ever tasted! Hyde's Harvest coffee is so rich and tasty on its own, but it's so incredibly good in this Mudslide Milkshake recipe.
Here's how I made this Mudslide Milkshake with Hyde's Harvest Cowboy Blend Coffee:
Ingredients: 1/4 cup brewed and cooled Hyde's Harvest Cowboy Blend coffee; 1/4 cup vanilla almond milk; 6 scoops vanilla bean ice cream; 1 ounce Kahlua; 1 ounce vodka; 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
Directions: Place the coffee, milk, Kahlua, and vodka in the bottom of a blender. Add the ice cream. Blend for 1 minute, or until smooth. Garnish with an additional scoop of ice cream on top and additional chocolate syrup. Serves 2.
