I'm always trying to spice up our dinner menu, and this Korean Beef Bowl really did the trick! My kids loved the sweetness from the brown sugar and my husband was a huge fan of the green onions and sesame seeds. I love the kick of the sesame oil. It really elevates the flavor in this dish and ties it all together.
This Korean Beef Bowl is an easy dish to prepare for busy weeknights. If you're like us, you're probably overwhelmed at this time of year. We're trying to balance the kids' school and sports with our hectic work schedules. That's why I created this healthy dish, so we could make our dinner routine simplistic and stress free.
I hope you are having a relaxing end of August and finding some summer solitude. Here's how I made this simple Korean Beef Bowl:
Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef; 1 bunch green onions; 2 cups white rice; 2 tablespoons sesame oil; 2 tablespoons brown sugar; 1/3 cup soy sauce; 1/2 tsp. pepper; 1/4 tsp. garlic powder; 1/4 tsp. ginger.; sesame seeds for garnish
Directions: In a medium size skillet, brown the beef until it crumbles and is no longer pink. Add the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, pepper, and garlic powder and ginger. Slice the green onion and garnish on top, along with the sesame seeds. Serves approximately 6.
