So, you might be thinking, sure JORD vegan leather wallets are versatile and stunning, but why did they choose cork? If you're like me, the cork you're most familiar with is the cork in the merlot you open at five on a Friday night to kick off the weekend.  The cork used in these JORD sustainable wallets is the opposite of wine cork.  This JORD Suberhide ™ Wallet (derived from suberin, meaning "naturally occurring substance"), is a unique fusion between Portuguese cork oak tree and woven fabrics.  Portuguese cork is durable, stain-resistant, and also flame resistant.  In fact, Portuguese cork is the same material that's used in space shuttle construction.  If you do need to clean your JORD Suberhide wallet (my kids' sticky fingers are no match for NASA!) mild soap and water will easily remove any unwanted marks (should your child ask to borrow money while eating a strawberry smoothie, which may or not have happened recently.)
