We just returned from a spring break trip to Disney World. Although I love the theme parks, I really love visiting Disney's Celebration. This quaint community has an amazing downtown with an array of restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlors My favorite ice cream flavor is mocha chocolate chip from Kilwin's. It's worth the trip to Orlando to get this flavor! I decided to try making mocha chip ice cream at home, in remembrance of our vacation. I've read about a no churn ice cream using condensed milk and heavy whipping cream. Martha Stewart was one of the originals of this basic no churn ice cream base, although it's quickly made it's way around the web. I added cocoa powder, instant mocha coffee, and chocolate chips to make my recipe as close to Kilwin's as I could. I figured it wouldn't be exactly like the original, but I'd give it a try. Surprisingly, this no churn mocha ice cream is very close to the "real deal!" The texture is very creamy and the flavor is amazing! Now, if I can just find a way to bring Micky and the gang back to Michigan...I'll have to think about that for a minute!
