I received this product for free in exchange for a review, but all opinions are my own.
I took a break from blogging the last two weeks to go on a whirlwind Florida vacation. While it was a fun time, I was exhausted when we returned. Maybe it was the Starbucks on every corner or the endless fun at the theme parks that did me in. Whatever the case, it was perfect timing for this product review for New York Biology Eye Gel.
After receiving this product in the mail, I was initially very impressed with New York Biology's Eye Gel. It comes in a sleek silver container with a pure white dispenser on top. I have sensitive skin, so I was relieved to see on the back label it has natural ingredients, such as aloe and cucumber.
When I applied the eye gel, I found the pump a tad quick to dispense, but it's a really cool feature. I liked that you don't have to open the lid and get your fingers overly messy. I also liked that the gel wasn't greasy like many eye creams. It went on smoothly and has a refreshing feel.
Since it doesn't contain perfumes, the gel doesn't have a strong scent, which is nice. It smells very earthy and natural, taking me back to the beaches of Florida. It does sting a tad if you get the gel too close to your eyes, which is a negative. But in my experience, this means it's working!
After applying the gel, the skin under my eyes feels really smooth and hydrated. The skin appears tighter, although I'm not sure if it will reduce dark circles. I might need to catch up on my sleep to accomplish that! But it definitely works for tightening lines and wrinkles.
The back label states you can use it on other places on your face., such as your forehead or cheeks. I'm going to give this a try and hope for similar results!
Overall, I really like this product. I happened to turn the big 40 while on my vacation (or was that last year?!) and have found more lines appearing under my eyes. I definitely recommend the New York Biology Eye Gel for firming up saggy lines and would be curious to see how their other skin care products compare to this one.
Now that I'm awake and my eyes are alert, it's time to get back to baking!
